Ekoenergetyka, a prominent high-power electric vehicle charging infrastructure manufacturer in the European market, has successfully attained compatibility with the North America Charging Standards (NACS), commonly known as the Tesla Standard, for its AXON Easy charging station.
In recent tests conducted during the three-day Testival event in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, Ekoenergetyka confirmed that the AXON Easy charging station meets the specifications of the NACS, the established and widely used charging standard in North America. Developed by Tesla, the NACS is recognized for powering Tesla’s Supercharger stations since 2012.
Marcin Graczykowski, Director of Product Management at Ekoenergetyka, expressed, “We have reached another milestone at Ekoenergetyka, integrating the NACS standard with our cutting-edge products. Through a systematic approach to designing new chargers, we can confidently say that the tests on the Axon Easy charger confirm full compatibility with the NACS standard across all of Ekoenergetyka’s product range.“
According to data from the U.S. Department of Energy, Tesla currently operates 17,740 fast-charging ports in the United States, representing 62% of all fast-charging ports in the country. The NACS connector, an alternative to the CCS Combo connector, is gaining traction, with manufacturers such as Ford, GM, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Subaru, Fisker, and BMW incorporating the standard into their electric vehicles.
Ekoenergetyka, which has installed over 8,500 charging stations globally, with nearly 50% being reliable AXON Easy stations, is poised to play a significant role in the growing adoption of the NACS standard.
