During this year’s New Mobility Congress in Łódź, the Ekoenergetyka team had the pleasure to participate in the “Sustainable Mobility Now” panel, moderated by Michał Kurtyka – Minister of Climate from 2019-2020 and, since 2021, Minister of Climate and Environment, as well as the President of COP. This event provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the role of electromobility in achieving the goals of the FIT-55.
One of the key discussion points, in which the co-founder of the company, Maciej Wojeński, took part, was the role of Ekoenergetyka in electrifying the fleets of transport and logistics companies. Poland boasts the largest fleet of heavy-duty vehicles (over 3.5 tons) in the European Union, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the entire EU fleet. However, Poland’s position as a leader in this sector within the EU may be at risk, as 98% of these trucks are equipped with internal combustion engines.
“Decarbonizing road transport, responsible for 30% of greenhouse gas emissions, is, therefore, a matter of utmost priority. These are ambitious plans with many challenges, but we are determined to meet them,” emphasized Maciej Wojeński in a conversation with Michał Kurtyka.
“To achieve this, we need advanced infrastructure technologies, which we have, but also a solution to the issue of high power demand. Managing substantial energy demand is a key administrative challenge in preparing for infrastructure expansion.”
Ekoenergetyka is committed to making this transformation a reality. Therefore, the company offers ultra-fast hub solutions for the EV and e-truck segments. Our SAT 600 HPC is ready for power outputs of up to 600 kW and is also prepared for MCS implementation.
