Ekoenergetyka’s long-standing partnership with SPIE has become one of the most important pillars of Belgium’s E-Bus electrification. Together, the two companies support De Lijn — one of the two largest e-bus operators in the Benelux, managing a fleet of around 500 electric buses, which accounts for 15% of the region’s 3,300 e-buses.
In early 2024, De Lijn placed a €24.2 million order with SPIE-Ekoenergetyka for new charging infrastructure, marking another milestone in the Flemish operator’s ambition to achieve a fully emission-free fleet by 2035. De Lijn awarded a new framework contract for up to 1,600 charging stations, jointly to SPIE-Ekoenergetyka and another supplier. Under this agreement, Ekoenergetyka will directly provide nearly 300 chargers, with the remainder supplied through mini-competitions. The company is already producing the next 64 chargers for two new locations.
So far, Ekoenergetyka has delivered 103 chargers to three major depots — including a 500 kW Link Charger in Genk, 68 Axon Side units in Hasselt, and 34 Axon Side units in Sint-Niklaas.
Throughout the entire cooperation, Ekoenergetyka delivered nearly 38 MW of installed capacity. Now, 40 MW is in production.
“Our numerous joint projects are the best proof of the quality of our solutions and show that the transition to emission-free public transport is already becoming a reality,” said Marcin Krawczyk, Regional Sales Director at Ekoenergetyka-Polska S.A.

For over 15 years, Ekoenergetyka has been delivering reliable, high-power charging infrastructure, powering the transition to zero-emission public transport in Europe’s largest cities — including Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, Munich, and Warsaw. With each project, the company strengthens its position as a trusted partner for operators and municipalities committed to cleaner, smarter urban mobility.
