The shift toward sustainable heavy-duty transport in Sweden is gaining momentum. Ekoenergetyka-Polska S.A. and Swedish charging operator Gito inaugurate a new high-power charging station in Ängelholm.
The facility is equipped with two Axon Side DLBS power units and four SAT600 satellites from Ekoenergetyka. This enables fast, efficient charging for electric trucks. The opening further strengthens Gito’s growing network. It now consists of 19 public charging stations and 84 charging points strategically placed from Malmö to Västerås.
“We are proud to support Gito’s ambitious rollout of a robust and sustainable charging network for heavy transport in Sweden. With our high-power technology, we ensure that fleets and operators gain access to reliable, future-ready solutions,” says Viktor Ekberg, Key Account Manager at Ekoenergetyka-Polska S.A.
Driving Nordic Electrification
Gito specializes in tailored depot, semi-public, and port-side charging solutions while building a rapidly expanding public network across Europe. Ekoenergetyka’s technology plays a crucial role in enabling faster, more reliable, and more sustainable charging for heavy-duty vehicles.
“Partnerships are essential. Working with companies like Ekoenergetyka allows us to accelerate the electrification of heavy-duty transport and provide the infrastructure the industry urgently needs,” comments Josip Glavas, Sales & Marketing Manager at Gito.
Ekoenergetyka is already a market leader in the Nordic e-bus sector, holding 26% market share through long-term cooperation with operators such as Nobina. In Sweden, the company has delivered over 200 chargers with a combined capacity of 25 MW, alongside 42 additional chargers in Denmark. Building on this foundation, Ekoenergetyka is now scaling up high-power solutions for electric trucks, with collaborations like the one with Gito central to expand the charging infrastructure across the Nordics.
