Ekoenergetyka-Polska, in cooperation with SPIE Belgium, has reached an important milestone in a project for the Flemish public transport operator De Lijn. The commissioning of the 100th electric bus terminal is part of a framework agreement signed in 2021. This agreement led to the creation of a new entity, the SPIE-Ekoenergetyka consortium, which is responsible for supplying and deploying 252 charging points in Belgium.
The project is designed to support the transformation towards sustainable transport, enabling the Flemish company De Lijn to develop a fleet of electric buses, thereby helping to reduce emissions and improve air quality in the region. The consortium's efforts are part of a broader trend towards the decarbonisation of public transport in Europe.
