Cracow – pioneering the future of electric bus charging!
Cracow, one of Poland’s largest and most historic cities, is rapidly advancing toward zero-emission public transport. With a cutting-edge charging infrastructure from Ekoenergetyka, the city has significantly reduced air pollution and noise levels, improving residents’ quality of life. Investment in state-of-the-art technologies ensures efficient electric bus operation, positioning Cracow as a leader in sustainable urban mobility across Europe.
Let's talk
Ekoenergetyka’s first charger
still going strong!
Our journey started in Cracow! On January 15, 2015, we installed our very first 120 kW charger at the MPK depot on Walerego Sławka Street – and it’s still running today! With over 6,000 charging sessions completed, this station played a key role in Poland’s e-mobility revolution.
This milestone wasn’t just a first step for us – it was a game-changer for zero-emission public transport, setting the stage for cutting-edge charging solutions across Europe.

Seamless charging for cracow’s electric bus fleet
The shift to zero-emission public transport demands a smart, integrated charging network. Cracow has deployed an advanced system that keeps its electric buses running efficiently – day and night:
This flexible, high-performance infrastructure ensures smooth, reliable, and sustainable public transport for Cracow’s growing e-bus fleet.
Next-gen charging solutions for smarter transit
The Cracow bus depot is now powered by 50 mobile fast chargers, each delivering 50-60 kW of output. Designed for maximum space efficiency, these chargers can be stacked in a multi-level setup, making the most of available space. Equipped with both CCS Combo 2 plug-in charging and pantograph connections, the system ensures seamless compatibility with a variety of electric buses. An intelligent fleet management system optimizes charging schedules, keeping buses on the road and public transit running smoothly.

This investment places Cracow among Europe’s leading cities in zero-emission public transport development.
Zero-emission transit Is here—and growing
Cracow is leading the way in e-mobility, with a growing fleet of fully electric buses that are cutting emissions and improving urban air quality. By investing in advanced charging technology, the city is taking a bold step toward a cleaner, more sustainable future for public transportation.
